SixFlags Magic Mountain, Los Angeles, CA
In October 2002 Michael and I went to LA to conquer one of the most exciting coasters we have ever seen. The X. It was awesome. I know that word is over used, but really, this thing was unlike anything Michael or I have ever been on ... it was AWESOME. When we started up the first hill we said to each other, "do you think this will beat the front row of Montu for best coaster?" By the time the train pulled into the station we said "It didn't just beat Montu, it blew it away!" It is impossible to fit X into my current rating system, so I have simply put it above all the others. It isn't number 1, it has ascended to a higher level. If you ever have the chance to ride this thing, DO IT! Even if you have to wait in line for 2 hours ... it is worth the wait.

By the way, if I were to put X in my normal rating of 1 to 10, it would be 1,000,000,000 at the very least.

This is what Six Flags Magic Mountain says about the coaster (and it is all true and doesn't do it justice):
Cutting edge one-of-a-kind roller coaster designed to break all the rules! X is the world's firs and only 4th dimensional thrill. Unlike traditional coasters where trains only parallel the track, X is pushed to the XTREME. For the first time, riders race in prototype vehicles that can now spin independently 360-degrees forwards or backwards on a separate axis -- creating an unprecedented "don't know what to expect next" sensation. Perched on the EDGE of a massive 20-foot wide wing-shaped vehicle, riders plummet 200 feet to the ground - head-first face down -- and race at 76 miles-per-hour spinning head-over-heels and performing forward and backward acrobatics through the massive 3,600-foot twisting steel maze.
Special Features: Prototype vehicles that spin 360-degrees forwards and backwards. One twisting front flip, two back flips and two raven turns will leave you speechless!
Ride Description: For the first time ever, riders race in prototype vehicles that can now spin independently 360-degrees forwards or backwards on a separate axis -- creating an unprecedented "don't know what to expect next" sensation.
Vehicles: The prototype design allows vehicles to spin 360-degrees forward and backward independent of the train's primary movement. Weighing 5 tons, the vehicle has a unique wing-shaped design that spans an unprecedented 20-feet wide. Each of the three trains carries 28 passengers sitting four abreast.

Other Information:
2 110' high cobra rolls, 102' high loop.
Strapped into sleek ski-lift style chairs suspended from the track above, Déjà Vu sends riders dangling face-down out of the station and up the first striking blue tower to then drop into a complete vertical 20-story free-fall a 102-foot-tall vertical loop, followed by an enormous 110-foot-tall butterfly turn!
All this, right before rocketing up the second 200-foot-tall tower - only this time riders are on their backs with nothing but the sky above. The heart-pounding rush accelerates as the entire thrill is experienced again, only this time backwards! It's Déjà Vu!
Special Note: SixFlags over Georgia also has this ride, but every time that I have been to that park (3 times) it has been broken or broke while I was in line. Georgia is very poorly run!
